LITTLE TIGERS –
AGES 3-5

Taekwondo is an enjoyable and healthy way to get in shape, build confidence, and develop a respect for yourself and others. Champion’s Taekwondo has been providing our students with training and life skills that enable them to go after and achieve their goals.

Our Little Tigers Programs are fun filled classes that help our younger students to improve their focus, overcome shyness, and build on their gross and fine motor skills through simplified training. With more focus on the mental and behavioral training in a structured setting, our Little Tigers better adapt to school settings and as a result are able to do better in academics and improve their listening skills.

BUILD YOUR CHILD’S CONFIDENCE TODAY!
Listed below are some of the major benefits that your child will gain through Taekwondo training:

They (and You) Will Get More Active: This is the obvious reason kids should do martial arts in this day and age – to get active and moving. The martial arts offer many benefits, but when it comes to fitness, becoming a true martial artist means becoming a supremely fit person.

They’ll Connect Their Mind and Body: A martial artist is taught to see, feel, and listen – both internally and externally. Tapping into intuition, fear, and courage are examples of being able to put the physical together with the mental. How often have we heard the phrase “being paralyzed with fear”? Being able to combat such a thing is what you learn in the martial arts.

LITTLE TIGERS CLASS

Our Little Tigers classes are an exciting way to stay active and learn an effective self defense style. Classes help to improve flexibility and build strength though performing forms, combinations, and foot work. Workshops, traditional self defense, and sport style, help each student to find their own path and to develop according to the goals they want to achieve!

LITTLE TIGERS MORALS

Our Little Tiger Program does not stop once the student leaves the mat.  We provide life lessons that teach students good habits that follow them long after they have finished their class.  Respectful greeting and answering, our 5 finger rules for behavior, and our “I will not complain to…” list are just some of the lesson we teach.

BELT TEST

One of the most important lessons that students learn in our program is goal setting. We set up achievable goals for our Little Tigers and motivate and guide them to accomplish them. Once they demonstrate the skill required at an age appropriate level, they are rewarded with a stripe. Once all stripes for that belt are earned, they are invited to test for the next belt.

LITTLE TIGERS EVENTS

In addition to the physical and mental focus our program also helps our Little Tigers develop social skills through Little Tiger only events. Movie Nights, Snowball fights, Superhero events, and other fun events are run each month so our students can interact with their friends (and give mom and dad a night off).
