A huge congratulations to Dylan D'sa of TC Massapequa Division for winning Gold in the 12-13 Middleweight class division at the 2009 US Open International Championships! With over 1700 competitors in attendance, Dylan defeated athletes from the USA, Canada, and Mexico! Congratulations!

Other athletes competing at the event were Master Andrew Oh and Instructor Earl Forde. . Master Oh defeated an athlete from Canada in sudden death 1st round, Ecuador National Team member Edgar Borja (2006 Pan Am Silver Medalist) 3-1 2nd round, Canada's Simon Cox 3-1 round of 16, then lost to Canada National Team member Siddhartha Bhat 4-0 (2008 Pan Am Gold Medalist) in the quarterfinal match. Instructor Earl Forde lost his 1st match to Mexico but did a great job in his first international match.
